Participate in proofing and color correction cycles.Responsible for bidding, negotiating, and selecting vendors for printing, prepress, and paper for the NWF magazines, Catalog and Book Clubs.Create production budgets, track expenses and perform routine expense reprojections.Manage the prepress and press production process, schedules and mail dates for all NWF titles.Our children’s publication team has an exciting opportunity to support the production of our magazines! We’re looking for a hands-on Production Manager who will be accountable for the production scheduling, manufacturing (i.e., prepress, printing, bindery, and addressing), paper purchasing, quality control, and distribution of all NWF magazine titles, catalogs and Book Clubs, as well as assisting in the promotional and retention production efforts and other special projects. Through its award-winning Ranger Rick children’s publications, the National Wildlife Federation has connected children and youth with nature for decades, helping parents and educators find new ways to engage kids outside. These basic needs, equally necessary and urgent for all people, are foundational to bringing the conservation movement and ethos into the 21st century. The Federation believes that in order to save wildlife and ourselves, we need to ensure that all Americans have access to clean air and water, safe communities, easy and equitable access to nature, and protection from the ravages of climate change.
